Safety Considerations
The safety of our guests is Blue Star Yachting's utmost priority. We would therefore like to draw your attention to the following considerations:

We are sorry that we are unable to allow pets on board the yacht. We also do not allow party poppers, sparklers or lanterns. Smoking is not allowed outside of the designated smoking areas. In strict compliance with Singapore laws and regulations, littering is not permitted on the dock or at sea. We will endeavour to provide a sufficient number of rubbish bins and take care of rubbish disposal. We reserve the right to curtail any charter if guests are observed to throw over-board any litter (including but not limited to: cigarette butts, food leftovers, bottles, cans, paper towels and items of plastic cutlery). Your participation in the preservation of the quality of our environment is appreciated.

Drinks & Safety
Whilst we allow consumption of alcohol aboard the yacht in a moderate and reasonable manner, in accordance with the Circulars & Notices issued by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), we will deny boarding of the yacht to any guest displaying signs of liquor intoxication. We also reserve the right to curtail any charter if any guest behaves in a drunken and disorderly manner. Blue Star Yachting will not be liable to any refund of fees in such event.
Should you wish to enjoy drinks onboard the yacht, we are happy to arrange for wines, beers and soft drinks to be delivered prior to your arrival. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks. We however strongly discourage spirits being brought and consumed onboard the yacht. Whilst we are happy to encourage a good party, we find hard liquor tends to promote dangerous behavior onboard the yacht.

The consumption of alcohol will be monitored carefully by the crew. We regret that we are unable to arrange for any liquor or spirits to be delivered onboard the yacht prior to your arrival. If you would like to bring any such items on board, we request that you declare them to the First Mate upon arrival. The use of glass bottles or any other glass containers is not permitted on deck or in any of the exterior parts of the yacht at all times.

Captain’s decision
Blue Star Yachting strives to provide the most professional and pleasurable experience possible whilst operating to strict safety standards. The Captain is a Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore with over 10,000 miles of sea experience. Her role is to ensure the safety of the guests, crew and yacht. Please be advised that, should she deem anything to be unsafe, her decision will be final. Any refusal by any guest(s) to follow the reasonable instructions of the Captain or crew will result in such guests being asked to leave the yacht promptly at the nearest safe disembarkation point and such guests will be responsible for their own return travel arrangements. Blue Star Yachting will not be liable to any refund of fees in such event.

In the event the guests attend on the day to commence the charter and the weather conditions dictate, in the Captain’s opinion, that the yacht does not leave the marina, the guests will be eligible to reschedule the charter, subject to availability. If the yacht’s departure from the marina is delayed due to adverse weather, the guests will be eligible for a proportional refund of fees or an extension of the duration of the charter beyond the finishing time originally agreed, subject to availability. In case of adverse weather experienced after the start of the charter, and should the Captain elect to shorten the charter for safety reasons or at the request of guests, Blue Star Yachting will not be liable to any refund of fees.

Blue Star Yachtinghas obtained insurance coverage for its crewed yacht charter activities. However, such coverage does not include any provision related to the guests’ personal effects, or to any accident, injury or illness suffered by the guests whilst on board, embarking or disembarking, and for which Blue Star Yachting does not accept any liability. Guests are strongly advised to obtain their own insurance coverage for such eventualities.
Blue Star Yachtingalso accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for disruptions caused by force majeure events such as fire, flood, acts of god, strikes, political unrest, acts of government or authorities, or any other occurrence beyond the control of Blue Star Yachting.

Damages & Breakages
Damages and breakages caused by the guests as a result of willful or neglectful acts or disregard of the Captain or crew’s instructions (including but not limited to as a result of drunken disorderly behaviour) are the responsibility of the guests, and any costs or liability incurred by Blue Star Yachting or any of its employees or representatives shall be reimbursed on demand to Blue Star Yachting. For safety reasons, the Captain and/or crew must be notified immediately of any damage or breakage found or caused by the guests.

Prohibited items and substances
Any item or substance prohibited by the laws of Singapore (including but not limited to drugs, firearms, weapons of any description, noxious substances or liquids) or any other item of any kind that is unlawful or unsuitable for use on the yacht is prohibited. The Captain reserves the right to refuse to allow any item on board that she should deem unsuitable or unsafe for any reason whatsoever. Any guests refusing to allow packages or personal effects to be checked by the Captain and/or crew will not be allowed onboard the yacht and will be responsible for their own return travel arrangements. Please be advised that in accordance with the rules and regulations of MPA, any guests arriving to the yacht displaying signs of being under the influence of drugs will be denied boarding. Blue Star Yachting will not be liable to any refund of fees in such event.

Guests below 18 years of age
In the interest of safety, Blue Star Yachting requires all guests who are minors to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In the case of a group of minors over 12 years of age, a minimum of one such supervising adult per group of 10 minors will be required.
